Julie’s warm and tranquil treatment room is situated in the heart of Llanidloes.
A full medical history is taken prior to the initial treatment before relaxing on the heated massage couch. Feet are then cleansed with hot scented steam towels. A variety of reflexology techniques are used and adapted to suit your individual needs. Julie may use aromatherapy oils and crystals to enhance treatments.

At the end of your treatment, Julie will discuss the experience and findings. It is usual afterwards to feel very relaxed, sleep better, and notice a feeling of improved mood and general well-being.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions including back pain, migraine, fertility, arthritis, sleep disorders, sport injuries, hormonal imbalances, digestive disorder, stress-related conditions. After having completed a course of reflexology treatments for a specific condition, many find it beneficial to continue with regular treatments in order to maintain good health and well being. Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.
A reflexology treatment usually lasts for about one hour. Allow an extra half hour on the first treatment for a full consultation. For subsequent treatments allow some extra time for follow up questions and post treatment relaxation, health care suggestions and advice.

More about Reflexology

Reflexology is a safe and natural complementary therapy said to have originated in China over 5000 years ago. It was also practiced in Ancient Egypt with tomb pictures showing two people manipulating the feet and hands of others.

Reflexology is based on the principal that the feet, hands and face represent the map of the body’s organs, glands and tissues. By stimulating these points, or reflexes, the practitioner is able to stimulate the corresponding organs, glands or tissues within the entire body.
Researchers say that "in today’s busy world 70% of health disorders can be related to stress and nervous tension causing the body to struggle to maintain its healthy balance".
This is how imbalances within the body can occur. If these imbalances are not resolved it can result in ill health. However, the stimulation from reflexology can free up tension of these imbalances within the body. Reflexology practitioners are trained to locate imbalances on the feet, stimulating the body to correct itself and restore the flow of energy to its natural balanced state and good health.

Julie also provides Facial Reflexology (Ziggie Bergman technique) that works on the same principles as other forms of reflexology with the added effect of nourishing the skin, relaxing facial muscles and improving skin tone. This blissful treatment combines Neal’s Yard Remedies organic and natural facial oils. and also includes massage to the head, neck, decollete, upper back and shoulders.
Facial and foot reflexology can be combined in one treatment (70 or 90 minutes).

Crystal Reflexology is based on the same principle of standard reflexology, but with the addition of crystals to enhance the treatment considerably. Minimal pressure is applied as the crystals energy works over the reflexes, and therefore brings about a completely different reflexology experience for the recipient (70 minutes).

Fertility Reflexology to support couples who are trying to conceive either naturally or through assisted conception. Both partners' specific needs are assessed and a treatment plan, and special reflexology techniques, used to balance hormones and improve any physical imbalances.

Maternity Reflexology Supporting mother and baby throughout the pregnancy journey. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence from women who feel they have benefited from reflexology throughout their pregnancy with significantly reduced pain during labour, length of first stage of labour, and improved quality of sleep in post-natal women.
